This appropriation reflects <br /> funding allocations anticipated from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations in the <br /> current fiscal year. The bill sets up the proper accounts to receive and expend the WIOA funds. <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) indicates that these funds will be <br /> utilized to provide funding for Sector Partnership Engagement to identify businesses' employment <br /> and training needs. <br /> The OHCD requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed on the <br /> August 22, 2018 Council Agenda in order to expedite the OHCD's ability to utilize the funds.
