COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 17 2B <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF THE <br />AUDITOR, STATE OF HAWAII <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Finance wishes to enter into a multi-year <br />agreement for two (2) years with the Office of the Auditor, State of Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement will allow the County to request that the Office of the <br />Auditor, State of Hawaii, to provide assistance to conduct an audit of the schedule of <br />changes in fiduciary net position by employer and related notes to the schedule of the <br />Hawaii Employer -Union Health Benefits Trust Fund ("EUTF") and the examination <br />report on census data for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2018 and 2019 in order to <br />meet the reporting requirements under Governmental Accounting Standards board <br />(GASB) Statement No. 75; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease <br />or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal <br />year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County <br />departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the federal <br />or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers <br />granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in <br />connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers; now, <br />therefore, <br />
