No. 401-19 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 3:02 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 401-19, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 401-19, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 602 <br /> dated October 31, 2019 authorizes the acceptance of a donation of funds to be used by the Police <br /> Department towards travel and other expenses to attend the Advanced Homicide/Violent Crime <br /> Investigator course. <br /> This resolution accepts a monetary donation of approximately$2,500 from the International Homicide <br /> Investigators Association. <br /> Hawaii Police Captain Gregory Esteban explained in addition to his position with the Hawaii Police <br /> Department, he has had the privilege of serving as President for the International Homicide Investigators <br /> Association(IHIA). Captain Esteban stated the primary mission is to provide training and investigative <br /> resources to law enforcement agencies around the world.
