NEW BUSINESS Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization (HWMO) 1. will present to the Action Committee an overview of their program and activities. Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) identify fire hazards and prioritize actions needed to mitigate wildfire, especially in the wild land urban interface (the areas between developed regions and undeveloped areas, e.g. grasslands, forests, etc.). The Federal, State, and County agencies responsible for suppressing wildfires provide critical data and input into CWPPs and ensure the plans are actionable. The public's input regarding what they see as the issues and needs regarding wildfire mitigation is also included in the scoping/data gathering process of CWPPs. HWMO are drafting a CWPP for South Kona. KCDP Implementation. 2. Action Committee will continue ongoing review of KCDP Goals, Policies and Actions & discuss roles & responsibilities. a. Action Committee will review and discuss the draft work plan proposed to focus on specific implementation tasks for the Kona CDP. b. Action Committee will review and discuss the proposed budget for support of the CDP AC and SC that was transmitted by the Puna CDP Budget & Finance Sub-committee by their memo dated 1/25/2010.
