The FHWA has determined the Project will have No
Adverse Effect to historic properties and requests the State Historic Preservation Officer's
(SHPO's) concurrence on the effect determination, in accordance with Section 106 of the
National Historic Preservation Act(NHPA) of 1966, as amended (2006).
Description of the Undertaking
The subject project is located in the Honohina District, approximately 16 miles north of Hilo on
Hawaii Island and carries Hawaii Belt Road over Nanue Stream (See enclosed Figures)
submitted via the Hawaii Cultural Resource Information System [HICRIS]).
