CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL <br /> II. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br /> Public statements must be related to items specifically listed on this agenda. <br /> Statements may be provided at the start of the meeting or when the specific agenda <br /> item is called. Testifiers are limited to a maximum of five (5) minutes. <br /> III. DISCUSSION REGARDING SELECTION OF THE POLICE CHIEF <br /> The Commission will discuss and possibly make decisions regarding any remaining <br /> aspects of the selection process, including any remaining issues raised at the <br /> Commission meeting held on January 29, 2026. <br /> The Commission may enter a closed executive session under HRS §§ 92-4 and 92- <br /> 5(a)(4) to consult with the board's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the <br /> board's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities related to the selection <br /> process of the Police Chief. <br /> IV. POLICE CHIEF INTERVIEWS <br /> The Commission will interview the candidates for the position of Chief of Police, listed <br /> below in alphabetical order: <br /> Hawai`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
