HAWAII COUNTY POLICE COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 21, 2005 <br />KONA DEPARTMENT OF LIQUOR CONTROL <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair John Bertsch called the meeting to order at 9:25 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: John M. Robinson, Member <br />Anita Politano Steckel, Member <br />Absent: Pudding Lassiter, Vice Chair <br />Karolyn P. Lundkvist, Member <br />A quorum was present. <br />Harry S. Ashida, Corporation Counsel <br />Josie Pelayo, Secretary <br />The purpose of the public hearing was to afford all persons the opportunity to submit <br />data, views, or arguments, orally or in writing, to the Police Commission for its <br />consideration prior to the adoption of the proposed amendments to Rule 3, 4, and 8. <br />There was no testimony from the public. <br />The following actions were taken: <br />RULE 3 <br />Commissioner Robinson moved and Commissioner Frazier seconded to amend Rule 3 <br />to read as follows: <br />The commission shall: <br />(c) Submit an annual report to the mayor, managing director, and the <br />council. <br />RULE 4 <br />Commissioner Robinson moved and Commissioner Frazier seconded to amend Rule 4 <br />to read as follows: <br />(b) The regular meeting of the commission shall be on the third Friday <br />of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the County Council Room or other <br />site accessible to the public as announced in the previous meeting. <br />
