<br />MINUTES <br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Friday, April 15, 2005, 10:00 a.m. <br />Aupuni Center Conference Room <br />PRESENTEXCUSED <br />Dawn Pung, ChairCarol Kitaoka, Vice-Chair <br />JoAnne Balberde-Kamalii, Secretary <br />Ellen Takazawa, Treasurer <br />Janet Coburn <br />Charmaine Ka-ipo <br />Margaret Masunaga <br />Paradise Newland <br />Kathleen Peters <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:10 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />A quorum was present. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />M. Masunaga moved to approve the agenda as submitted. J. Coburn seconded the <br />motion. The motion was passed. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />M. Masunaga made correction to the minutes on page 5, second paragraph: “Geri <br />Hasegawa” should be changed to “Geraldine Hasegawa.” <br />M. Masunaga moved to accept the March 18, 2005 minutes as corrected. P. Newland <br />seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />TREASURER’S REPORT <br />The treasurer’s report was circulated. <br />D. Pung reported that $25,000 will be appropriated to CSW for the Teen Dating <br />Violence Prevention Initiative Training Program ($15,000) and the Girls Exploring Math <br />and Science (GEMS) Program ($10,000). <br />M. Masunaga moved to accept the treasurer’s report. J. Balberde-Kamalii seconded <br />the motion.
