<br /> <br />H <br />REGULAR SESSION MINUTES <br />JUNE 8, 2018 <br />AUPUNI CENTER CONFERENCE ROOM <br />101 PAUAHI ST., HILO, HAWAII <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Hendricks called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Peter Hendricks, Chair <br /> Wayne De Luz, Vice Chair <br /> Arthur Buckman, Commissioner <br /> Carl Carlson, Commissioner <br /> Jak Hu, Commissioner <br /> Paul Paiva, Commissioner <br /> Colleen Pasco, Commissioner <br /> (A quorum was present.) <br /> <br />Also present: Paul Ferreira, Police Chief <br /> Kenneth Bugado, Deputy Chief <br /> J <br /> Burt Shimabukuro, Captain <br /> Malia Hall, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br /> Josie Pelayo, Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Vice Chair De Luz motioned to approve the agenda. Commissioner Paiva seconded, <br />and it carried unanimously. <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS (None.) <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> May 18, 2018, regular and executive sessions Commissioner Paiva motioned to <br />approve the minutes with a non-substantive correction on the fourth page of the <br />executive session minutes. Commissioner Buckman seconded, and it carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> Review draft of changes to ulations: Ms. <br />Hall distributed the latest revisions. They will have a public hearing on the revised <br />rules and will give a 30-day notice of the hearing. <br /> <br />Chair Hendricks stated that he had some thoughts about anonymous complaints. <br />that her thoughts are that if it is against an officer, it should be notarized. <br /> <br />
