Motion passed unanimously with spelling co <br />ÐapprovalÑ on Page 3. <br />APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND/OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA <br />3.: None <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS LISTED ON AGENDA <br />4.: <br />David Marquis provided an overview of KA2020 proposals and federal funding <br />applications that are being submitted for environmental projects <br />Council member Tyler offered the following comments on various i <br /> <br />Clarified that the area to be studied as authorized by council on December 17, 2003 was <br />not limited to the North Kona Industrial Park. <br /> <br />The free green mulch available to Kona residents is beneficial. <br /> <br />Suggested two former solid waste sites adjacent to Palani Road as possible Brownfields <br />Inventory and Assessment sites. <br /> <br />One council issue/concern regarding the Organics Diversion program is the cost. <br /> <br />Requested reconsideration of building a new landfill adjacent to current Hilo landfill. <br /> <br />Will request assistance and support from our Congressional delegation with the <br />Kealakehe Wetlands Project when he goes to Washington D.C. in Fe <br />will provide him with information. <br /> <br />Pointed out inconsistencies in the Draft Solid Waste Administrat <br />and made suggestions regarding additions and deletions. <br /> <br />Would support and introduce a Charter Amendment to the council relating to <br />commission duties if the amendment used language similar to that <br />1998 Charter Amendment relating to Planning Commission in Sectio <br />Councilman Reynolds announced a public forum from 5 p.m. to 9 p. <br />at the Keauhou Beach Hotel relating to county solid waste management. <br /> <br />
