<br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND HEARINGS <br />LEEWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Leeward <br />Planning Commission of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 <br />and 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 6-7.5 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii, and the <br />Commissions Rules of Practice and Procedure. <br />DATE: Thursday, November 17, 2011 <br /> TIME: 9:30 a.m. <br /> PLACE: West Hawaii Civic Center, Community Center, Building G <br /> 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC Note that statements from the public regarding <br />any particular item on this agenda will be taken at the time the particular item is called to <br />order. <br />NEW BUSINESS 9:30 a.m. <br />1. <br />APPLICANT: JAMES SARGENT (USE 11-029) <br />Application for a Use Permit to allow the establishment of a 5-bedroom bed and breakfast <br />operation within an existing 6-bedroom single family dwelling on 2.27 acres of land within <br />the Single Family Residential-15,000 square foot (RS-15) zoned district. The property is <br />located at 55-3456 Akoni-Pule Highway (Highway 270), which is on the south side of <br />Akoni-Pule Highway approximately 700 feet east of the Akoni-Pule Highway (Highway <br />270) and Hwi Road intersection, Hwi, North Kohala, Hawaii, TMK: 5-5-15:41. <br />2. <br />APPLICANT: CELLCO PARTNERSHIP DBA VERIZON WIRELESS (USE 11-30) <br />Application for a Use Permit to construct a 114-foot tall, self-supported steel <br />telecommunication monopole with twelve 8-foot tall panel antennas and related facilities on <br />an approximately 900 square-foot portion of a 3.952-acre parcel situated in the State Land <br />Use Agricultural District and the Countys Agricultural 5-acre (A-5a) zoned district. The <br />property is located at 87-3070 Mamalahoa Highway, which is on the east side of Mamalahoa <br />Highway, approximately 1,900 feet north of the intersection of Mamalahoa Highway and <br />st <br />Kukuiopae Place, Kukuiopae 1, South Kona, Hawai`i, TMK: 8-7-010: portion of 013. <br />3. <br />APPLICANT: CELLCO PARTNERSHIP DBA VERIZON WIRELESS (USE 11-31) <br />Application for a Use Permit to construct a 150-foot tall, self-supported steel <br />telecommunication monopole with twelve 8-foot tall panel antennas and related facilities on <br />an approximately 1,000 square-foot portion of a 2,396-acre parcel situated in the State Land <br />Use Agricultural District and the Countys Agricultural 5-acre (A-5a) zoned district. The <br />property is located approximately 3,500 feet east (mauka) of Hawaii Belt Road in the <br />vicinity of mile marker 90, Alik ahupuaa, South Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 8-8-001: portion of <br />003. <br />1 <br /> <br />
