Persons wishing to provide oral testimony are <br />asked to submit a completed request form to the meeting recorder prior to the completion of each <br />public testimony portion of the meeting. Oral testimony shall be limited to three (3) minutes in length <br />per agenda item during the Public Testimony portion of the meeting or immediately prior to an agenda <br />item, subject to the discretion of the Chair of the Puna CDP Action Committee (AC). <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br />Regular Meetings on April 10, 2012 (5 min) <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1.Communication No. 2012-8: Pedestrian Crossing at Volcano. Brittany Smart, District 6 <br />Council Member, will present and ask for AC support for a Resolution urging the State of <br />Hawaii Department of Transportation to construct a designated pedestrian crossing area for the <br />Volcano village community across Mmalahoa Highway, commonly known as Highway 11 or <br />the Hawaii Belt Road. (20 min) <br />2.Waipae Marine Life Conservation District (MLCD) Comprehensive Management Plan: <br />René will report on discussions she had with representatives at <br />Resources on the protections currently afforded under the Marine Life Conservation District <br />designation and possible steps towards creating a comprehensive management plan for the <br />Waipae MLCD.
