<br />North Kohala Community Access Group <br />Meeting Notes <br />November 7, 2012 (Old Courthouse 4:30pm) <br />: Jack Hoyt, Joe Carvalho, Beth Robinson, Keone MacKillop, Eric Batha, Ted Matsuda. <br />Participants <br />Pololu <br />Akoakoa Point (Bird Cave) <br />o <br />Hapu'u Kapanaia <br />Hapu'u. <br />o <br />Fence completed, Signage is being prepared. <br />Kauhola Lighthouse <br />Nothing new report <br />o <br />Halelua <br />The Land Legacy Commission will meet in December to consider acquisition of agricultural <br />o <br />and conservation easements from Vipassana. <br />Ainakea <br />Nothing new report. <br />o <br />Upolu Airport - East end of the runway <br />Nothing new report <br />o <br />Upolu Airport Area Restoration <br />The program will resume next year <br />o <br />Coast Guard Road <br />Nothing new to report. <br />o <br />Puakea Bay Ranch <br />The letter regarding the realignment of the trail was sent to the planning director from the <br />o <br />action committee and a report will be presented on the November 26th meeting of the action <br />committee. <br />Ranch at Puakea <br />Ongoing work of a trails & cultural sites map <br />o <br />We should make an announcement to have residents with burial Iwi documents to our meetings <br />o <br />so that we can pass it on to the action committee to have it submitted to the planning <br />department. <br />Kohala Kai <br />We should consider a safer trail from the parking lot to the pedestrian trail. <br />o <br />Grant of easement documents <br />Representatives of our group will meet with Larry Brown of the planning department to go <br />o <br />over Grants of Easements in North Kohala that are pending. <br /> <br /> <br />
