Action Committee <br />(AC) to order at 3:01 p.m. in the Kea`au Community Center. The follow' g persons were present: <br />Action Committee: Elmer Solis, Farris Etterlee, June Conant, Larry Brow *la Kealoha, Patti Pinto, <br />and Susan Osborne. Frank Commendador was absent. <br />Staff. Hans Santiago — Puna CDP Project Manager and o Mercado — Puna CDP Planning <br />Assistant. IV <br />Members of the public: 9 <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: NONE <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1. Hans announced that the State Librarian, Stacey Aldrich, was still accepting feedback on <br />possible locations for the Puna Regional Library and reminded the Action Committee of their <br />previous decision to provide feedback as individuals. <br />2. Larry introduced three new Action Committee Members o will be starting their terms in <br />2017; MichaAB"ard from Hawaiian Paradise Park, T esa Reveira and Yumi Kawano both <br />from Volcan3. Larry announveryone was invited to a potluck after the meeting to thank the outgoing <br />Action Committee members and to welco ichael, Teresa and Yumi. <br />PUBLIC TESTIM one <br />APPROVAL OF MIN <br />Elmer moved to approve th mutes %emeeptember 13, 2016 meeting as submitted. Second by <br />Susan. The motion to approveminutes as submitted passed with 6 votes aye, 0 votes nay, I vote to <br />abstain (Elmer). <br />4 <br />NEW BUSINE <br />1. Update from Mass T nsit Agency: <br />Hans shared an update he received from Tiffany Kai, Mass Transit Agency Administrator with <br />the Action Committee. A contract with SSFM International was executed on July 181h with a <br />total budget of $500,000. Currently the project team is reviewing requests for services, <br />complaints, suggestions and other pertinent communications.
