Chuck Flaherty, representing himself, testified in opposition to Bill 87, Kona CDP Amendments. <br />He expressed feeling that the amendment package qualifies as a comprehensive review since <br />the proposed amendments would lead to substantial changes in the plan. He shared that he <br />was involved with the Community Development Plan from the beginning, including attending <br />various public meetings and was involved in several special interest groups during the public <br />input process. He also shared to have followed and read through all of the communications <br />related to the amendment process which he believes undermines and dilutes the CDP. He <br />requested the bill be tabled and a community charrette process on the bill be put in its place. <br />2. Shannon Rudolf, representing herself, spoke in opposition to Bill 87, Kona CDP Amendments. <br />She expressed her concern that a plan without mandating language would sit and "collect dust" <br />rather than being actively implemented. She shared her recollection of the drafting process of <br />the CDP which involved numerous community events with hundreds of participants.
