The following persons were <br /> present: <br /> Action Committee: Patti Pinto, Sharon Daun, Farris Etterlee, Leila Kealoha (departed meeting at <br /> 6:03pm), June Conant and Oshi Simsarian. Susan Osborne arrived at 3:13p.m. <br /> (Susan departed meeting at 6:02pm), Rene Siracusa and Elmer Solis were not in <br /> attendance. <br /> Staff. Larry Brown - PCDP Project Manager, Keiko Mercado - PCDP Planning Assistant and Hans <br /> Santiago - County Planner <br /> Members of the Public: 11 <br /> ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: None <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> I. Farris announced that Hawaiian Telcom has received grant monies from the Federal <br /> Communications Commission's Connect America Fund for accelerated broadband build-out <br /> from Orchidland to Volcano. The expansion will be limited to areas that already have existing <br /> phone lines and power poles. <br /> 2. Larry announced that the Mayor's Budget Proposal Package to the Council will include 4 of the <br /> 5 CIP requests from the Action Committee. The four CIP requests that are included in the <br /> Budget Proposal are: <br /> a. Post Office Road Extension Project <br /> b. Hwy 137 Scenic Paths Project <br /> C. Hwy 137 Path Feasibility Study <br /> d. Hwy 132 Shoulder Improvements Project <br /> PUBLIC TESTIMONY: <br /> Four people signed up to testify, two of the four testifiers deferred their testimony until the agenda item <br /> came up for consideration by the AC. <br /> 1. Stephanie Bath testified on agenda item 92 under New Business, Connectivity and Emergency <br /> Response. She read portions of a letter that was submitted as testimony via email. Stephanie's <br />
