<br />North Kohala Community Access Group <br />Meeting Notes <br />April 1, 2015 (Old Courthouse 4:30pm) <br /> <br />Participants: <br />Greg Moores, Aric Arakaki, Toni Withington, Carter Collins Joe Carvalho, Keoni Mackillop, <br />Margot McFedries, Beth Robinson, Jack Hoyt, Ted Matsuda. <br /> <br /> Akoakoa Point (Bird Cave) <br /> <br /> <br />NSTR – Nothing Significant to Report <br /> Hapu'u – Kapanaia <br /> <br /> <br />There are campers (squatters - the same people) on the Kapanaia side of the Heiau. <br /> <br />Fred & Toni will prepare a presentation with maps for Kamehameha Schools. <br /> <br />The presentations will be about Hapu'u, Kapanaia, and Halelua. <br /> Halelua <br /> <br /> <br />We don't have an access plan or GOE (only have draft) from the county <br /> <br />Landowners are in conversation with HILT. <br /> Kauhola Lighthouse <br /> <br /> <br />MKOKI has volunteers clean up the lo'i and cultural sites. <br /> <br />They have scheduled the volunteer clean up on the last Saturday of every month. <br /> Ainakea – Makai <br /> <br /> <br />We need to check if the landowner moved the pedestrian gate from the conservation district. <br /> <br />We need an update from the county on the GOE. <br /> Pahoa Beach <br /> <br /> <br />The old Mohamadi property is on the market. <br /> <br />We need and update from the county planning department, <br /> Upolu Airport - East end of the runway <br /> <br /> <br />We need an update from the county planning department. <br /> Upolu Airport - Restoration <br /> <br /> <br />The restoration is ongoing. <br /> <br />This project is applying for a soil conservation grant. <br /> Latitude 20 Holdings (Lamaloloa) <br /> <br /> <br />NSTR <br /> Kaiholena Lot F <br /> <br /> <br />HILT is sponsoring a talk story session on this property. <br /> <br />They will meet at Mahukona at 9:45 am on April 18th, then drive to the site for a visit from 10:00 <br /> <br />am till 1:00 pm.
