Motion carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND/OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA <br />3.: None <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS LISTED ON AGENDA <br />4.: <br />Fred Cowell of Kealakehe Ahupua`a 2020 requested the CommissionÓs support for their <br />EPA Environmental Justice Grant application. (Handouts attached to original minutes.) <br />Lorraine Stahr made a motion to approve the proposal presented by the Kealakehe <br />Ahupua`a 2020 group for their EPA grant application and to deleg <br />and Tyson to review the Memorandum of Understanding and make the <br />whether to sign or not. Marjorie Erway seconded the motion. Co <br />Erway, Smith and Plack voted aye. Commissioner Ono abstained. Motion failed <br />because 5 votes are needed for passage <br />. <br />Chair Smith introduced Pete Hendricks, Deputy Managing Director. Hendricks reported on <br />the ÐGet the Drift and Bag ItÑ beach clean-up project recently completed, noting that <br />according to HawaiÒi Revised Statutes, counties have sole responsibility for shores and <br />beaches likely to be used with some frequency by the public.
