This grant will enable the Police Department to: <br /> 1. Im rove ~hg qquality of its investigations into <br /> ex~rafamilraI and intrafamilial sexual and physical abuse <br /> of children. <br /> 2. Provide training to investigators and Hospital Emergency <br /> Room Registered Nursing staff in the areas of child <br /> sexual and physical abuse, collecting an¢ preserving <br /> physical evidence and issues involving civil liability in <br /> protective custody situations. <br /> 2. Have investigators available to respond to child physical and <br /> sexual abuse calls. <br /> 3.
