COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM <br />The County of Hawai'i's 2021 CDBG allocation'will be $2,699,374.00. In addition, the County anticipates <br />receiving $100,000.00 of program income from the Residential Repair Program (RRP) for a total of <br />$2,799,374.00. The anticipated program income will be applied to the Ulu Mini Low Income Housing <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant - Repairs. <br />To meet the County's five-year 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan, Priorities and Objectives, the following <br />projects will be included in the 2021 Action Plan. <br />2021 CDBG Projects <br />The County of Hawaii will receive $2,699,374.00 for 2021 CDBG allocation. The CDBG project amount <br />for all projects may change to accommodate the actual amount of grant funds or program income <br />received or if there are any cancelled project(s) or reprogramming of CDBG funds. In its efforts to <br />expedite and timely implement its projects, the Public is advised that the County of Hawaii will utilize <br />County funds for the Ulu Wini Low Income Housing Wastewater Treatment Plant —Repair Project to <br />incur pre -award cost under the CDBG program that will not exceed 25% of current CDBG allocation. This <br />is in accordance with the CDBG regulations 24 CER 570.200 (h) (1), Reimbursement for pre -award costs. <br />The 2021 CDBG projects meet the Objectives and Outcomes which are identified in the County's 2020- <br />2 <br />2024 Consolidated Plan. The public facility projects meet the suitable living environment objective by <br />renovating and rehabilitating the Hale Ohana Domestic Abuse Shelter and West Hawaii Domestic Abuse <br />Shelter, Ulu Wini Lour= Income Housing Certified Kitchen —Conversion and the UIt: Wini Low Income <br />Housing Wastewater Treatment Plant —Repairs. <br />The State of Hawaii is required to submit the annual Action Plan for the 2020-2024 Consolidated <br />Plan. The County of Hawaii will submit its 2021 project selection and recommendation to the State of <br />Hawaii Housing and Finance Development Corporation for its 2021 Home Projects, <br />The County of Hawaii anticipates it will receive approximately $2,850,000.00 for the 2021 HOME <br />Program. The HOME project amount for all projects may change to accommodate the actual amount of <br />grant funds or program income received or if there are any cancelled project(s) or reprogramming of <br />HOME funds.
