A decrease was made to <br /> their miscellaneous contract services account for depositions and transcripts to <br /> balance against the increases indicated. <br /> Planning <br /> Salaries and wages were amended to reflect the addition of a new Information <br /> System's Analyst IV, a new Clerk II, and to adjust salaries of vacant positions for <br /> recruitment purposes. Funds were reallocated within various OCE (Other Current <br /> Expenses) accounts to better meet the needs of the Department and which did not <br /> change the total expenses in the OCE base. This includes increasing expenses for <br /> cell phone service for additional EnerGov (pads, off-island travel to accommodate <br /> expected increases to in-person meetings, and for office supplies and removing the <br /> Banyan Drive Redevelopment project in the miscellaneous contract services <br /> account. <br /> Funds were added to the miscellaneous contract services account to pay for the <br /> County's match portion of their Lead for America Fellowship program. <br /> An increase was made to Coastal Zone Management (CZM) salaries and wages for <br /> recruitment purposes towards a vacant position along with a decrease to the <br /> miscellaneous materials and supplies for this grant-funded section. <br /> Human Resources <br /> Salaries and wages were adjusted to reflect a salary adjustment resulting from the <br /> reallocation of the Safety Specialist position. <br /> Research & Development <br /> Salaries and wages were adjusted in order to fund a previously unfunded Economic <br /> Development Specialist II position, while concurrently un-funding a Clerk III position. <br /> Funds were added to the Business Development miscellaneous contract services <br /> account for the County portion of the AmeriCorps Vista program. <br /> Public Works <br /> Salaries and wages accounts were amended for the Public Works' Building Design <br /> and Engineering division to reflect refunding the Deputy Building Chief position, <br /> which was previously unfunded and a new Building Projects Manager. The <br /> Administration and Engineering divisions S&W was also increased for adjustments <br /> to various salaries of vacant positions for recruitment purposes and to reflect the <br /> recalculation of budgeted salaries of vacant positions that were filled. The Building <br /> Repairs and Maintenance division's S&W was increased to provide a Building <br /> Maintenance Worker and their Automotive division increased salaries and wages for <br /> a new Construction Equipment Mechanic for their Kona operations. <br />
