Exhibit A Page IV
The repairs to facilities and the building construction and materials accounts were
increased in the Building R&M division to reflect revised projections of the needs of
the division with respect to facility repairs and maintenance. Also in this division, the
insurance for county facilities account was increased due to revised cost forecasts.
The Building Inspection division increased funding for miscellaneous contract
services to pay for EnerGov cloud storage and consulting services, and also
increased S&W for a new Building Plans Examiner.
Police
The miscellaneous equipment account in Police's administration section was
adjusted to reflect the addition of a generator needed to replace the obsolete unit at
their Kealakehe police station.
Fire
The Fire Protection division's public safety supplies account was adjusted to reflect
increased funding for additional Personal Protective Equipment to support the
department's ten-year replacement plan for these critical lifesaving items.
Liquor Control
The Department of Liquor Control had several increases to accounts associated with
their relocation to a new, non-County owned office in Kona. This includes
equipment repairs and maintenance, the addition of electricity expenses and an
adjustment to their rent of land/buildings account.
Prosecuting Attorney
Regular S&W was adjusted to reflect changes in budgeted salaries due to the
movement of personnel in both East and West Hawaii offices. The Office of the
Prosecuting Attorneys' Agriculture Crimes Project was eliminated with the loss of
grant revenues from the State.
Office of Aginq
The Office of Aging's S&W was increased because of the reallocation of a grant
funded position (Area Plan on Aging). Additional amendments were made in the
Area Plan on Aging's miscellaneous contract services account to offset this cost.
