Communication (5/4/2021) from HSAC Secretary Kimball requesting a discussion <br /> regarding expressing an HSAC position on HB 321, HD1, SD1, Transient <br /> Accommodations Tax (TAT). <br /> Already discussed in Item V(A). Motion by CM Kimball for her office to collect questions from CMs by <br /> 5/19 and draft a letter by 5/20 to Governor Ige posing those questions regarding HB862. Motion passed <br /> with no objections. <br /> H. Communication (5/4/2021) from HSAC Secretary Kimball requesting a discussion on the <br /> possibility of Bulk Purchasing for the Counties. <br /> CM Chock will investigate further. Motion to close out was passed with no objections. <br /> I. Discussion and consideration of HSAC Nominations to the NACo Board of Directors for <br /> the 2021-2022 term. <br /> CMs Tommy Waters and Kipukai Kuali'i were nominated to the NACo Board of Directors with four <br /> "ayes." <br /> J. Discussion and consideration of HSAC Nominations to the WIR Board of Directors for <br /> the 2021-2022 term. <br /> CMs Kelly King and Tim Richards were approved to the WIR Board of Directors with four "ayes." <br /> VI. OLD BUSINESS (2:18:39) <br /> A. Request from then HSAC Vice President Chock to discuss establishing an <br /> HSAC Executive Director position. (Deferred 3/23/2021) <br /> CM Chock shared that NACo has a for-profit arm that has revenue sharing programs in the realms of <br /> 1. Technology Solutions 2. Financial Solutions and 3. Employee Benefit Solutions. This could be a <br /> plan to help fund a paid staffposition. CM Kimball asked if they have BoD Insurance solutions as <br /> well. CM Chock proposes that he gather additional information and come back to the Executive <br /> Committee. <br /> A motion to receive was approved with no objections. <br /> VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS (2:30:32) <br /> A. Schedule Next Executive Committee Meeting- June 17 at 10:30am. <br />
