REQUEST: <br /> Requesting the creation of a Information Systems Analyst IV position for the Hawaii Fire Department. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED <br /> Position is needed due to technological growth. The Hawaii Fire Department has taken on numerous new <br /> technologies in the pursuit of better service to the public and increased safety. Computer usage within the <br /> department has grown from one computer per station 20 year ago, to nearly one computer per employee <br /> today. Currently HFD has over 300 computers in active service, and is has adopted a variety of tech <br /> programs and processes specific to the department for which direct IT support is needed. <br /> Programs/Processes for which tech support is needed: Spillman CAD system, Motorola Radio Software, <br /> Motorola Radio Programming Software, Bryx 911 Application, Pulse Point, Tradegecko, Mobile Data <br /> Terminals, GPS Tracking systems, GIS data, ARC GIS mapping integration, Everbridge, Target Solutions, <br /> Emergency Report, Street LG, WIFI System, NETcloud Cradlepoints, Cellular Services. <br /> The Fire Department's IT needs are very similar to the Police department which currently has three to four IT <br /> staff and clerk assistance.
