The subject property is also located outside of any coastal flooding zone or <br /> tsunami evacuation area. <br /> An archaeological inventory survey performed within the Project Site found no <br /> railroad orcamp remnants associated with the Project SltepastuseasasuBarcane0e|d <br /> associated with the VVaiakea Sugar Company field system. For these reasons,the State <br /> Department of Land and Natural Resources, by its letter dated January 11, 2018 (see <br /> Exhibit B), concluded that no historic properties will be affected as it pertained to the <br /> adioiningVVa|akea Nani Estates subdivision project just nnauka of the Project Site. The <br /> Applicant anticipates the same conclusion for this Project Site. Regardless, during any <br /> grubbing or grading work associated with the proposed subdivision project,the State <br /> Historic Preservation Division will be notified and all work shall immediately cease upon <br /> inadvertent discovery ofany archaeological feature, <br /> Therefore, for the reasons stated above, approval of this change of zone request <br /> will conform to the following goals, policies and standards of the Land Use Element of <br /> the General Plan: <br /> • Designate and allocate land uses in appropriate proportions and mix and in <br /> keeping with the social, cultural and physical environments of the County. <br /> • Allocate appropriate requested zoning in accordance with the existing or <br /> projected needs o[neighborhood, community, region and County. <br /> 16 1Pa@e <br />
