Ma 9, 2023, HSAC MeetingMinutes Pae I4
May ., i SAS
Z
A major part of the Executive Director (ED) role is administrative work
with each of the HSAC EC members to manage the everyday operations of the association,
supporting the roles of President, Treasurer, and Secretary. This includes but is not limited to,
responding to emails, text messages, phone calls that come in throughout the week. Preparing
the agenda, doing the minutes, website management, ensuring we have records of all accounting
documents, and following general accounting principles. Ensuring all data is entered correctly
into quickbooks and copies are uploaded to the HSAC google drive.
Administrative work occupies 70%of the ED time (the current contract is for 15-20
hours per/wk). The remainder of my time is spent on special projects, for example, working with
NACo on our affiliated partners, finding ways to strengthen HSAC publicly and financially,
tracking and monitoring legislation or collaborating with the lobbyist to ensure the legislative
package is being developed throughout the year. In addition, in person events attending the
NACo or HSAC annual conferences include multiple days and long hours.
It is important to continue to work with the HSAC EC in order to identify priorities so
that special projects can be spread out throughout the year in order to maximize the ED's time
and continue to make progress in advancing the HSAC mission.
1. General Administrative Duties:
o HSAC signed the "Live Healthy program."This is the NACo drug prescription
program that generates revenue for HSAC. We will be building out
communications about this program over the next year.
o Pricing information from E&M Consulting for an HSAC brochure:HSAC would
receive 15%of the advertising revenue after$5000 has been.raised. HSAC would
need to speck who would be appropriate to reach out to request sponsorship and
support from. Timeline for completion is approx. 5 months with E&M consulting,
this would be just in time for the HSAC conference.
2. Treasury Update:
o Form 990 tax filing has been signed and submitted to the accountant for filing.
o Worked with the Treasurer's team on the HSAC FY24 budget justification.
o Met with the Treasurer's team for training on Treasurer's report, quickbooks, and
how to manage reimbursements.
