BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Hawaii Fire Department is transitioning our pilot from a contract to county positions for better <br /> control of resources and staffing. To complete this transition Hawaii Fire department needs to add <br /> an additional three helicopter pilot positions under Home Department 4200. <br /> Addtionally we would like to create an additional Battalion Chief Position for Air Operations also <br /> under Home Dept. 4200. <br /> Positions are already funded under current expenditures and no additional funding is needed for this <br /> change. The Department of Finance has approved the creation of these positions. The Department <br /> of Human Resources has completed and approved the review of the Pilot Position Job Descriptions. <br /> Once these position numbers have been approved and allocated we will move ahead with the <br /> transition for these positions. <br /> SIGNED: DATE: 7 in /2-' 3 <br /> Depa Head <br />
