H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Gardens <br />Funds requested: $171,370 <br />• Na Mamo O Kawa (Kawa and Kawa Beach) <br />Funds requested: $123,788 <br />• Na Maka Haloa O Waipio (Pohoiki) <br />Funds requested: $48,000 <br />ORDER OF RESOLUTIONS <br />Res. 263-23: AUTHORIZES THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO <br />NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF ALL OR A PORTION OF THE <br />PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP KEY: 2-8-008:100, SITUATED IN <br />THE `ILI OF PEPE`EKEO, AHUPUA`A OF MAKAHANALOA, DISTRICT <br />OF HILO, UTILIZING THE PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE, AND NATURAL <br />RESOURCES PRESERVATION FUND <br />The County seeks to acquire approximately 38.25 acres of land to protect cultural <br />and natural resources and freshwater springs and streams, preserve and plant native <br />coastal plants, revive agricultural lands as agroforest, facilitate managed public <br />access for fishing and gathering sites, and enable community-based management and <br />stewardship.
