REQUEST: <br />I am seeking to create a Public Safety Counselor position for the Hawai'i Police Department. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED) <br />This position will be a certified person, marriage and family counselor, social worker, etc. who will meet with <br />department employees and family members. Understanding that the nature of the essential functions of the <br />positions within this department and the various resposnsibiities tied to it, can on many an occassion expose <br />employees to sensative situations, which can be extraordinarily difficult.
