The current 2005 General Plan requires that the Commission review the <br />Draft Plan and "recommend approval of the proposed amendments, in whole or in part, <br />recommend changes, or recommend the rejection of the proposal for changes to the General <br />Plan" within 150 days from the date of receipt of the proposed amendments from the Planning <br />Director (by March 24, 2025). The Commission held public hearings on November 1, 2024, <br />November 4, 2024, December 5, 2024, February 6, 2025, March 10, 2025, and March 11, 2025, <br />to review the Draft Plan. <br />At its meeting on March 11, 2025, the Commission voted, to forward a favorable <br />recommendation to the County Council to amend the County of Hawaii General Plan 2005 by <br />adopting County of Hawaii General Plan 2045, Final Recommended Draft dated July 2024, <br />inclusive of all the amendments made by the Windward Planning Commission. <br />The Commission recommended making the following additions, deletions, and amendments to the <br />Draft Plan: <br />1.
