Please upload a completed CRF Grant Budget Form. <br />2025-2026 CRF District 5 Budget Form.xlsx <br />Public Purpose of Requested Funds <br />Per §2-138 of the Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), the County may grant an award only if the <br />proposed program or service provides direct public benefits and fulfills a public purpose within the County. <br />53. According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the <br />interests in the following areas. Please select all the public benefits to be derived from your County fund request: <br />Educational concerns <br />Needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities <br />Public health and welfare of the people and the environment <br />Victims of crimes <br />Victims of health or social crises <br />* 54. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these funds. <br />OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS: -Goal 1: At least 10 public trainings held -Goal 2: At least 20 participants per training -Goal 3: <br />At least 90% of trainees report learning something new and useful -Goal 4: At least 95% of trainees would recommend the <br />training to others SUPPLEMENTAL: Challenges and opportunities facing Hawai'i Island include: recovering from the <br />coronavirus pandemic, preventing eviction and homelessness, high cost of living and doing business, renewable energies, <br />natural disasters, and land use. Some of these challenges/opportunities are centered on contentious issues, like astronomy <br />on Mauna Kea. Well -trained local leaders and citizens --with dynamic and innovative ways to respond to difficult dialogues, <br />disagreements, and disputes --support a stronger Hawaii County community and economy. Our agency helps individuals, <br />families, schools, organizations, businesses, and others in Hawai'i County to find creative solutions to challenging situations. <br />In the area of education, we have a multi -year track record of both developing and implementing successful in-house <br />trainings, community workshops, and professional development seminars. These educational programs have attracted <br />island -wide and repeat participation from the private, public, and non-profit sectors. In the past 13 years, we have <br />conducted over 500 educational programs for adults and youth. TRAINING TESTIMONIAL: "I'm already using the skills <br />gained from the Basic Mediation Training in my one-to-one conversations with students in crisis or helping students resolve <br />conflicts with faculty, staff, and/or other students.
