NO. <br />I Whereas, this Compact does not apply when a psychologist is <br />2 licensed in both the Rome and Receiving States; and <br />3 Whereas, this Compact does not apply to permanent in- <br />4 person, face-to-face practice, it does allow for authorization <br />5 of temporary psychological practice. <br />6 Consistent with these principles, this Compact is designed <br />7 to achieve the following purposes and objectives: <br />8 1. Increase public access to professional psychological <br />9 services by allowing for telepsychological practice <br />10 across state lines as well as temporary in -person, face- <br />11 to -face services into a state which the psychologist is <br />12 not licensed to practice psychology; <br />13 2. Enhance the states' ability to protect the public's <br />14 health and safety, especially client/patient safety; <br />is 3. Encourage the cooperation of Compact States in the <br />16 areas of psychology licensure and regulation; <br />17 4. Facilitate the exchange of information between Compact <br />is States regarding psychologist licensure, adverse actions <br />19 and disciplinary history; <br />20 5. Promote compliance with the laws governing <br />21 psychological practice in each Compact State; and <br />
