56. According to §2-136, "public purpose" is defined as a benefit to, improvement of, or promotion of the
interests in the following areas. Please select all the public benefits to be derived from your County fund
request:
Culture and the arts
Educational concems
Needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities
Public health and welfare of the people and the environment
57. In 2,000 characters or less, describe the measurable outcomes you aim to achieve with these
funds.
The requested funds will directly enhance event safety, efficiency, and professionalism through the provision of portable
restrooms, proper storage for equipment, clear signage, medals and trophies for participant recognition, and adequate
lighting, sound, and staging for the evening concert. Providing food for volunteers will also ensure sustained engagement
and reliable event staffing throughout the multi -day program. Quantitatively, success will be measured by the number of
teams and players served, volunteers supported, and audience reach during both the tournament and concert.
Qualitatively, outcomes will include increased youth participation in healthy recreational activities, strengthened family
and community connections, and heightened visibility of local sports and music programs. Together, these efforts
contribute to community resilience and well-being by fostering safe spaces for learning, celebration, and
intergenerational connection —all while honoring the legacy of Buddy Perry and continuing the mission of Na Hoa o Puna
Soccer Club and its nonprofit partner, No Na'Oplo.
