Collection of Demographic Information <br />Applicants may be asked to voluntarily provide demographic information for reporting and <br />program evaluation purposes. Submission of demographic information is optional and will <br />not affect eligibility, award amount, or funding determination. <br />Requested demographic information may include: <br />• Business owner gender <br />• Business owner race <br />• Business owner ethnicity <br />• NAICS code from a drop -down list (North American Industry Classification System) <br />The County will use this information only for reporting, program analysis, and other lawful <br />administrative purposes. <br />Program Eligibility <br />To be eligible, an applicant must: <br />• Be a business operating within the County of Hawai ' i prior to March 13, 2026 <br />• Maintain a physical business location within the County of Hawai i <br />• Demonstrate documented physical damage and/or business interruption caused by <br />the March 13-27, 2026 Kona Low events <br />• Demonstrate an unmet recovery need <br />• Identify an eligible use of grant funds supported by documentation <br />• Submit a complete application with all required documentation <br />Eligible Uses of Funds <br />Grant funds may be used only for storm -related unmet recovery needs, including: <br />• Equipment repair or replacement <br />• Inventory replacement <br />• Temporary relocation costs <br />• Rent and utilities <br />• Cleanup or water damage <br />All requested uses of funds must be supported, as applicable, by quotes, invoices, <br />receipts, estimates, or other documentation acceptable to the County. <br />
