Ineligible Uses of Funds <br />Grant funds may not be used for: <br />• Losses already covered by insurance or other recovery assistance <br />• Expenses unrelated to storm recovery <br />• Expansion or improvement costs unrelated to pre -storm conditions <br />• Owner draws or distributions not supported as payroll <br />• Penalties, fines, or taxes <br />• Any fraudulent or undocumented expense <br />Required Documentation <br />Business Documentation <br />Applicants must provide: <br />• Proof of business registration with the State of Hawai' i (for example, Articles of <br />Incorporation, Business Registration, Sole proprietorship documentation, or other <br />document proving establishment or operation of the business) <br />• Proof of physical business location, such as: <br />o deed <br />o lease <br />o utility bill <br />• Documentation showing the applicant is authorized to sign on behalf of the <br />business, if applicable <br />• Certificate of Good Standing from the State of Hawai' i <br />Storm Impact Documentation <br />Applicants must provide documentation of storm -related loss, which may include: <br />• Damage assessments with photos <br />• Insurance claim documentation and claim status <br />• Inventory loss records <br />• Quotes, invoices, or receipts <br />• Financial statements reflecting business interruption or operational impacts <br />Financial Documentation <br />Applicants must provide: <br />
