BACKGROUND & JUSTIFICATION(USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> The State Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and <br /> Justice Assistance Division is providing funding to improve the <br /> handling of domestic violence incidents within the County of <br /> Hawaii through proper handling of the investigations by police <br /> officers and increased sharing of information pertinent to the <br /> victim and the abuser between police and EMS personnel at the <br /> scene of a domestic violence incident. <br /> <br /> The objective will be accomplished by: 1) training police <br /> officers in the handling of domestic violence related incidents; <br /> 2) training fire department personnel on their role in domestic <br /> violence. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SIGNED: DATE: 7 <br /> IS S.
