STATEWIDE MARIJUANA TASK FORCE <br /> DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT <br /> PAGc 4 <br /> Training will also familiarize the task force officers with <br /> current trends of various marijuana concerns and investigative <br /> techniques. <br /> 5. Personnel will attend bi-monthly meetings in order to share, <br /> collectively identify, and address any new or unusual <br /> marijuana cultivation and/or distribution trends, techniques, <br /> or issues. <br /> Intelligence information is also shared at the bi-monthly <br /> meetings. <br /> 6. Educational presentations relating to marijuana will be made <br /> to schools and community groups. <br /> <br /> D. PROJECT ORGANIZATION AND b".ANAGEMENT: <br /> The project director for ~.he Hawaii County Police Department shall <br /> be the lieutenant of the Hilo Vice Section. The project director <br /> will be responsible for the overall management of the project and <br /> will oversee department activities with the Statewide ~~arijuana <br /> Eradication Task Force. <br /> the project director reports to the captain of the Criminal <br /> Investigation Division. The Criminal Investigation Division falls <br /> under the comu~nand of the Assistant Chief of Investigative <br /> Operations. <br /> PERSONNEL: <br /> Personnel utilized for this project shall be comprised of existing <br /> full-time officers of the Hawaii County Police Department. There <br /> will be no hiring of personnel for this project. <br /> ?ARTICIPATING AGENCIES: <br /> 1. The Hawaii County Police Department will be the lead agency <br /> for the County Police Departments. We will be responsible for <br /> coordinating communication and liaison activities among <br /> representatives of the four County Police Departments and will <br /> have the lead role in project activities. <br /> 2. The Statewide Marijuana Eradication Task Force, also known as <br /> the Domestic Cannabis Eradication/Suppression Program <br /> (DCE/S P), is comprised of the following County, State, and <br /> Federal agencies: <br /> <br />
