Anew County-standard but privately-owned <br /> roadway from Oneone Street would be constructed to serve these fourteen (14) lots. <br /> The other access which would serve the other four (4) lots would be via Ke'oke'o <br /> Street which also intersects with Ka'iminani Drive. Ke'oke'o Street has a 50-foot <br /> right-of-way and a 20-foot wide pavement. Ka'iminani Drive, which serves as the <br /> primary mauka-makai connector road between Hawaii Belt Road and Queen <br /> Ka'ahumanu Highway, has a 60-foot wide right-of--way with 24-foot wide pavement. <br /> The wastewater from the proposed project will be disposed in accordance with <br /> the prevailing requirements of the State Department of Health's toles and regulations to <br /> be installed by the respective homeowners. Additionally, the applicant will abide by all <br /> applicable State and County air quality and noise level control standards during the <br /> pre-construction and construction phases of the project. All essential utilities are <br /> available for the proposed project. Therefore, the proposed single family residential <br /> development will be developed in an area that is or can be adequately served by water, <br /> utilities, sewers and transportation systems. <br /> Based on the above findings, this request to reclassify the subject property from <br /> an Agricultural (A-Sa) to a Single Family Residential (RS-10) zoned district would <br /> result in an appropriate land use pattern and further the public convenience, necessity <br /> and general welfare. <br /> For your favorable consideration, amendments to the SLU Boundaries Map, H-7, for the <br /> County of Hawaii, and Section 25-8-3 (North Kona Zone Map) are transmitted. <br /> We are enclosing copies of the applications and a copy of the staff background for your <br /> information. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Kevin M.
