Although an additional farm dwelling could technically be applied for, the applicant <br />believes that a conventional 2 -lot subdivision would be more appropriate. This would <br />make financing of the proposed dwelling and any loans associated with the fruit and <br />coffee orchard less cumbersome as well as provide some measure of conveyance <br />flexibility in the future. <br />The applicant further believes that while the coffee industry is supported by large-scale, <br />commercial farms, the smaller, family-owned farms make a significant contribution to the <br />industry. There are quite a number of families in this area raising coffee on less than <br />5 acres of land, mostly for supplemental income." <br />5.
