Currently, the County of <br /> Hawaii is required to keep all accounts receivable on the books for a minimum of two <br /> years. However, many of these accounts receivable are known to be uncollectible much <br /> sooner than the two years. <br /> This amendment removes the sentence from section 2-109 which states "No account shall <br /> be so deleted until it shall have been delinquent for at least two consecutive years." <br /> Removing the time frame will allow the County to better reflect the true accounts <br /> receivable balances.
