STATE AND COUNTY PLANS <br />6. SLU: Agricultural <br />7. Hawaii State Plan Consistency: Economic and Housing objectives and policies. <br />8. General Plan Consistency: Economic, Land Use elements goals, policies and courses <br />of action for North Kona. <br />9. General Plan LUPAG MAP: Urban Expansion, which allows for a mix of high <br />density, medium density, low density, industrial and/or open designations in areas <br />where new settlements may be desirable, but where the specific settlement pattern and <br />mix of uses have not yet been determined. <br />10. Kona Regional Plan: The Kona Regional Plan adopted by the Planning Commission <br />in April 1984, designates the area for Residential4 units/acre (RES 4). <br />11. Keahole to Kailua (K to K) Development Plan: Residential Expansion. The K to K <br />Plan was adopted by the County Council by Resolution on April 3, 1991. The Plan <br />was adopted as a guide to be utilized in the development of infrastructure and land uses <br />in the region. <br />12. Zoning: Agricultural (A -1a). <br />13. SMA: The property is not situated within the Special Management Area (SMA) <br />boundary. <br />14. Resolution No. 20 97: On January 22, 1997, the County Council adopted Resolution <br />No. 20 97, which supports the County's proposal to conduct a Comprehensive Traffic <br />Plan for the Kalaoa area. The proposed plan would include identifying the necessary <br />infrastructural improvements for the area relating to traffic, traffic safety, water, fire <br />protection, parks and civil defense. (See Exhibit B - Resolution No. 20 97) <br />15. Subject Property: The subject property is an irregular shaped lot. There are <br />presently two structures on the subject property. <br />16. U.S. Soil Survey: According to the Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation <br />Services's Soil Survey Report, the land is of the Kaimu (rKED) and Punalu'u Series <br />WZ <br />
