. 00-40 • <br /> shall be determined by mutual agreement of the Board <br /> and City Administration and subject to Council <br /> appropriation; provided, however, that it is intended <br /> that the level of City support shall remain constant <br /> and that no City land shall be foreclosed if the Board <br /> and City Administration do not agree on or the Council <br /> does not appropriate the Assessment for a Fiscal Year. <br /> (vi) Parcels of land that are exempt from the <br /> payment of real property taxes but that are not exempt <br /> from the levy of special assessments under this Plan <br /> shall be assessed under this Plan as if such parcels <br /> were not exempt from the payment of real property <br /> taxes, and the City Department of Budget and Fiscal <br /> Services shall determine the assessed value of such <br /> parcels for such purpose. <br /> (vii) The Board may establish a one-time credit for <br /> a private landowner who was assessed a maintenance <br /> assessment for the Kalakaua Maintenance District for <br /> the August 1 through December 31, 2000 period. The <br /> credit for a private landowner shall be not more than <br /> the maintenance assessment amount paid by that <br /> landowner for the August 1 through December 31 period. <br /> If established by the Board, the credit for a private <br /> landowner shall be applied against the landowner's <br /> special assessment for the Fiscal Year designated by <br /> the Board. <br /> (c) Notice of Assessment. The City, through its <br /> Department of Budget and Fiscal Services, will notify <br /> landowners of the Assessment in accordance with Revised <br /> Ordinances of Honolulu (1990) section _-3.6. After the <br /> first Fiscal Year's notice of Assessment, notices of <br /> <br /> Assessment will be given annually as of a date to be agreed <br /> upon by the City, through its Director of Budget and Fiscal <br /> Services; provided, however, that such date shall be no <br /> later than sixty (60) days prior to the commencement of each <br /> Fiscal Year. <br /> (d) Donations. The Board, on behalf of the District <br /> Association, may accept grants and donations from private <br /> institutions, the City, other public entities, individuals, <br /> and other not-for-profit organizations. <br /> (e) Other. The District Association may obtain <br /> revenues from any other sources of funding not heretofore <br /> mentioned in accordance with law. <br /> -10- <br /> 00-40 <br /> <br />
