The <br /> property is located on the makai side of the Mamalahoa Highway approximately two miles south <br /> of the junction of Mamalahoa Highway and Palani Road, Honuaula, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: <br /> 7-5-24: 25. <br /> APPLICANT'S REQUEST <br /> 1. Request: The applicant is requesting a Change of Zone from Agricultural 5-acre (A-Sa) <br /> to Family Agricultwal 3-acre (FA-3a) to subdivide the property into two lots <br /> approximately three acres in size to convey the lots to his children. The applicant and his <br /> wife have owned and farmed the property for over 50 yeazs. Because of the applicant's <br /> age, the farm has become too lazge for the couple to maintain. Their children would like <br /> to own a portion of the site and continue the farm on a part-time basis. Tentatively, <br /> subdivision will occur in 2005. The estimated cost of the improvements is less than <br /> $25,000 for the construction of any required driveway access and an additional water <br /> meter.
