(A) If the lot frontage is up to 100 lineal feet, a directory sign may not exceed <br /> sixteen square feet, except that no wall directory sign may exceed the lesser of <br /> sixteen square feet or fifteen percent of the wall area on which it is located. <br /> (B) If the lot frontage is greater than 100 lineal feet, a directory sign may not <br /> exceed twenty-four square feet, except that no wall directory sign may exceed <br /> [he lesser oftwenty-four square feet or fifteen percent of the wall area on <br /> which it is located <br /> (2) Ground Sign. <br /> (A) One ground sign, relating to business(es) conducted on the premises, as <br /> follows: <br /> (i) If lot frontage is up to 100 lineal feet, ground sign may not exceed <br /> sixteen square feet and not exceed eight feet in elevation from the ground; <br /> (ii) If lot frontage is greater than 100 lineal feet, ground sign may not exceed <br /> twenty-four square feet and not exceed twelve feet in elevation from the ground; <br /> (B) The elevation of a ground sign shall be computed as the distance from the <br /> base of the sign at normal grade to the top of the highest attached component <br /> of the sign. Normal grade shall be construed to be the lower of either the <br /> existing grade prior to construction or the newly established grade after <br /> construction, exclusive of any filling, beaming, mounding, or excavating <br /> solely for the purpose of locating the sign. <br /> (3) Marquee Sign. <br /> (A) One sign attached to the underside of a marquee (hanging sign) for each <br /> business conducted on the premises. This marquee sign shall not exceed nine square feet in area <br /> and the lower edges must be at least seven and one-half feet above the ground; or <br /> (B) One sign attached to or otherwise displayed upon the face of the marquee. <br /> This sign shall not exceed a total sign area of 32 square feet or fifteen percent of the marquee <br /> area on which it is displayed, whichever is lass. The maximum letter height is not to exceed <br /> twenty-four inches. <br /> (4) Projecting Sign. One projecting sign for each business conducted on the premises, <br /> stating the name and the nature of the business, which may only occur on an exterior wall <br /> <br /> without an overhang. The bottom edge of the sign shall be no lower than nine feet over any <br /> <br /> public area orpedestrian right-of--way. Maximum sign area shall not exceed sixteen square feet. <br /> (5) Roof Sign. Except in the residential-commercial mixed use (RCX) and resort-hotel <br /> <br /> (V) districts, where roof signs are not allowed, one roof sign, lighted or unlighted, not <br /> l3 <br /> <br />
