exceeding thirty-two square feet in area and not containing lettering more than twenty-four <br /> inches in height, relating to business conducted on the premises; provided that the highest point <br /> on any sign attached to the roof shall not extend above the highest part of the roof to which it is <br /> attached. <br /> (6) Wall Sign. <br /> (A) One wall sign, which relates to business conducted on the premises, per side <br /> or rear of a building. Each side or rear wall sign shall neither exceed fifteen percent of the total <br /> exposed area of the wall, associated with the business on which the sign is displayed, nor <br /> exceed one hundred and fifty square feet, whichever is less. A sign on the face of the building <br /> for each business conducted on the premises shall not exceed fifreen percent or one hundred <br /> and fifty square feet, whichever is less, of the area of the face of the building actually occupied <br /> by the business. <br /> (B) The total area of any wall covered by signage shall not exceed I S% of the <br /> total area of the wall, whether used by single or multiple businesses. <br /> (C) Notwithstanding (A) and (B) above, the maximum size of any wall sign in the <br /> RCX and V districts shall not exceed 32 square feet. <br /> (7) Window Signs and Painted Window Sigus. For any business, the total area allowed <br /> to be covered by one or more window signs facing any street shall be no more than 25% <br /> of the total combined area of the windows or 150 square feet, whichever is Less. <br /> Section 3-12. Signs permitted in agricultural/open districts. (RA, FA, A, IA, O) <br /> The following signs are allowed, with a permit~in agricultural/open districts (RA, FA, A, IA, <br /> O): <br /> (a) Ground Sign: One ground sign not exceeding 8 square feet in area, relating to a business <br /> conducted on the premises, provided that the building in front of which the sign is displayed is <br /> set back not less than 30 feet from the street. <br /> (h) Wall Sign: One wall sign, not exceeding 32 square feet in azea upon any wall of a <br /> structure on the premises related to the business conducted on the premises. <br /> Division 5. Permits <br /> Section 3-13. Permits required. <br /> <br /> (a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person, Firm or agency may display, <br /> install, construct, erect, alter, relocate, reconstruct, or cause to be displayed, installed, <br /> <br /> constructed, erected, altered, relocated, or reconstructed any sign without first having obtained <br /> <br /> a sign permit in accordance with this chapter. <br /> l4 <br /> <br />
