Definitions of "sign" and types of signs sub paragraph 1, "B. Is placed out doors " In this case we are talking about a sign placed on the interior or exterior of a glass. What about a banner or a sign, maybe 6" away or maybe a couple of feet away from the window? 2) Section 3-3. Definitions of "sign" and types of signs, sub paragraph 1, "C. Is visible from any street." What is the meaning "visible from any street?" A office located next to a street has lots of plate glass windows, on one of the interior walls there is a sign that is visible from the street, does this apply? Why or why not. 3) Section 3-3. Definitions of "sign" and types of signs paragraph 6, "Roof sign..." Where are roof signs allowed to be used? The original sign ordinance allowed roof signs in Commercial and Industrial Districts. 4) Section 3-3. Definitions of "sign" and types of signs paragraph 8, "Wall sign." The first sentence after the word "building wall,"has the word "structure", after it. What is the definition of structure? In the past it has been used to include a retaining wall or a rock wall. In both cases the slope of the wall is greater than 60 degrees. In the past the argument was that because it is in the front of the property, and it is a structure a wall sign could be used instead of limiting it to a ground sign. The ground size Comm.
