Comm. 299 (Bill 85) <br /> The Hawaii Police Department requests the existing no pazking zone along the rock wall at the entrance to <br /> James Kealoha Pazk be extended to the end of the wall on the Hilo side. They also request parking be <br /> restricted along [he second rock wall located on the Hilo side. They also request parking be restricted along <br /> the second rock wall located on the Hilo side of James Kealoha Park. <br /> We investigated this request and concur with the Police Departments recommendations; the roadway at <br /> these locations is not wide enough to accommodate parked cars. The Department of Parks and Recreation <br /> has also been informed and they support this proposal. <br /> We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 1Q, Section 24-280, Schedule 28 (No Parking at <br /> Anytime) under the Hilo be amended as described in the attached draft for an ordinance. <br /> Under separate cover, we are transmitting the proposed ordinance to the Public Works Committee Chair for <br /> introduction. <br /> We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment.
