Coastal Hazards: The property is located over two miles from the shoreline and will not <br /> affect, or be affected by shoreline processes. <br /> 20. Recreational Resources: The proposed development will not reduce the size of the <br /> coastline or other areas used for public recreational uses. <br /> <br /> 21. Visual Resources: The proposed project will not affect the visual resources in the azea. <br /> <br /> 22. Flora/Fauna: As the property is improved with asingle-family dwelling, no professional <br /> surveys were conducted of the site. The property is located in an urban setting in an azea <br /> dominated by single-family residential uses. <br /> <br /> 23. Archaeologieal/Historical Resources: The property has been developed for single- <br /> family residential use since 1932, thus no formal azchaeological study was conducted. <br /> The property has been extensively landscaped with a lawn and ornamental species. The <br /> applicants state that there is no habitat that would appear valuable for native terrestrial or <br /> aquatic species. By letter dated Mazch 8, 2005, the applicants have requested a "no <br /> effect" letter from the Department of Land and Natural Resources Historic Preservation <br /> Division (DLNR-HPD). In a memo dated May 11, 2005, the DLNR-HPD has stated that <br /> "residential development/urbanization has altered the land; home on property is <br /> considered an [sic] historic property as it is over 50 years old, but proposed action does <br /> not pose any potential adverse effect. No historic properties will be affected by this <br /> undertaking." <br /> <br /> 24. Cultural or Native Gathering Rights: There is no evidence of any traditional and <br /> customary Native Hawaiian rights being practiced on the site, nor existence of any known <br /> valued cultural, historical or native resources in the area. <br /> <br /> 25.
