The purpose of this measure is to amend chapter 15 (Parks and <br /> Recreation) by changing the imprisonment penalty from ninety days to thirty days. Possible <br /> <br /> penalties will remain, imposition of a Yine, imprisonment. or the imposition of both a fine and <br /> imprisonment. <br /> SECT"ION 2. Chapter I5, article 1, section 15-7, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 <br /> <br /> (2005 Edition), is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section ] 5-7. Penalty. <br /> Any person convicted of violating any provision contained in this chapter shall be <br /> <br /> punished by a fine not exceeding $ I ,000 or by imprisonment not to exceed [ninety] thirty days, <br /> <br /> or both, and shall he adjudged to pay all costs of the proceedings. In addition to the penalties <br /> <br /> provided herein, the County may recover for damages to its property, the measure of which shall <br /> <br /> be the cost of repairing, replacing, or rebuilding the property injured or destroyed." <br /> SECTION Material to be repealed is stricken and bracketed.
