The property is located along the northeast side of <br /> Kuakini Highway, adjacent to and south of the Kona Hillcrest Subdivision, Kahului 1st, North <br /> Kona, Hawaii. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the requests: <br /> State Land Use Boundary Amendment <br /> The approval of the reclassification from the State Land Use Agricultural to the <br /> Urban District will not be violative of Section 205-2, Chapter 205, Hawaii Revised <br /> Statutes, nor will the reclassification actions be inconsistent with the Hawaii Land Use <br /> Commission Rules, the Hawaii State Plan and the County General Plan. <br /> The applicant is requesting a redesignation of the subject property from <br /> Agricultural to Urban to enable the development of a 212-unit housing project, which will <br /> Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br /> <br />
